La Luna Rooms

La Luna Rooms is a homestay in San Francesco, Lucca, in a recently renovated historic building.

For larger parties, the three-bedroom deluxe apartment accommodates up to seven, with three bathrooms and a full kitchen. Two rooms can connect when booked individually, accommodating up to five together.

Daily housekeeping, luggage storage, a concierge and tour desk are available, and free WiFi covers all areas. Pets are accepted on request, with charges possibly applying. Check-in is at Hotel La Luna unless arranged otherwise, and you should advise the property of your arrival time.

La Luna Rooms has four accommodation types: two Double Room with Private Bathroom options, a One-Bedroom Apartment and a Three-Bedroom Deluxe Apartment. The double rooms accommodate two people each; one is 15 m² and includes city and inner-courtyard views, while the 20 m² room faces the inner courtyard. Both have private bathrooms, air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a minibar.

The 30 m² one-bedroom apartment sleeps up to three and adds a kitchen, dishwasher, dining area and seating space. For larger parties, the three-bedroom apartment accommodates up to seven people, with three large double beds and a sofa bed. Across the range, you can choose between a compact double room, an apartment with kitchen facilities or the multi-bedroom layout; the views differ between city and courtyard aspects.

At La Luna Rooms, daily housekeeping, luggage storage and laundry sit alongside concierge service and a tour desk. Private check-in and check-out are available, and key access is provided. The property is non-smoking throughout, with air conditioning and heating. Family rooms and private bathrooms are available. Guests can request pets, although charges may apply. Buffet breakfast is served. An electric vehicle charging station is available. Private parking is on site, paid, and reservation is required. Piazza dell’Anfiteatro lies 200 m from the homestay; its oval outline follows the site of the Roman amphitheatre. The property is 650 m from Lucca’s centre.

Lucca Train Station is 1 km from the homestay, and you can complete the final stretch on foot or by taxi. Private parking is available directly in front of La Luna Rooms; it is paid, must be reserved, and uses a secure access code supplied to guests. La Luna Rooms is inside Lucca’s limited-traffic zone, so contact the property before driving in to arrange access and provide your number plate. Check-in takes place at Hotel La Luna unless prior arrangements are made, and you are asked to send your expected arrival time in advance.

Within a short walk are Museo Storico della Tortura (100 m), Parco delle Mura Urbane (250 m), Basilica di San Frediano (300 m) and Guinigi Tower (300 m). The museum presents the history of torture, while the basilica is noted for its Romanesque architecture and large mosaic façade. Guinigi Tower is recognised for the trees growing on its rooftop; Parco delle Mura Urbane gives you a green stretch beside Lucca’s historic fortifications. Piazza dell’Anfiteatro is another nearby stop, set over the footprint of the Roman arena.
